I think those that hate WordPress are techies who see ordinary people do with ease what they spend tons of time trying to achieve. WordPress is here to stay. If you add PHP and JavaScript to your skillset combined with WordPress you are like God literally in the things you can achieve in record time.

I wonder, sometimes, if it’s fear. They see these applications, like WordPress, slowly eating away at the work they do and it’d be understandable to react to that with anxiety. Hell, I think about it sometimes. But, I just believe deeply in delivering the best end product for the user… and, in many cases, that’s a WordPress (or similar tool) type site. Plus, with the WordPress REST API… you can actually use any language you want and keep WordPress as your back-end.
